Great Salespeople Care!

I've recently been a part of several online and offline conversations about the characteristics of truly successful salespeople. I even wrote an earlier post about the subject. BUT...I missed a key ingredient that I felt compelled to talk about in the video below.

Here's the thing...

Do they CARE about the product or service they are selling? THAT may be the most important factor of all.

Grit, determination and persistence are qualities we look for in the salespeople we invite to join our team but, when we match them with a client, what we often look for first and foremost is passion about the service they will be selling. If that ingredient exists in the midst of the other critical qualities, we can just about guarantee they will be unstoppable!

The next time you're hiring a salesperson, don't just look at their resume....be sure to spend time digging into what motivates them about what you do and why.
